F.U.N Lacquer - Galaxy

You might have already seen/read on Instagram, that I'm so excited about the new collection of F.U.N Lacquers and I'm literally going crazy wating for them to arrive. I needed something gorgeous from the brand to calm me down. :) So I picked Galaxy from my stash.

I've already read on different blogs that it doesn't cover perfectly even in three coats, and there's no way, that I apply four. What a waste would that be? So I applied OPI's Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm? from 2014 Nordic collection. It covers in two coats and is a really nice color, but it smells so weird. Not that strong cheap polish smell (u know what I mean), but something different and... well just weird. :D
But back to Galaxy. Purple and holographic glitters in sheer purple base. On my pics you can see its coverage in two coats. Since I had a base color under it, why not to add some gradient. I sticked two chevron nail vinyls on my ring finger, painted over the mid part with two coats of Galaxy and tadaaa! Easy peasy.

How do you like Galaxy? Did you pick anything from the new Summer 2015 collection?

China Glaze - Point Me To The Party

Let's get out of the magical world of indie polishes for a minute and take a look around at the salon brands too. Electric Nights is this year's neon collection from China Glaze. The neon polishes didn't impress me, there are much better ones in my opinion. Three glitter toppers belong to this collection, and Point Me To The Party looked so fun and unique, I thought it might be worth a try...

Point Me To The Party is a multicolor neon glitter in clear base. Sounds like fun? Well, sorry, but no. My first attempt turned out terribly. The base was so thick I couldn't apply one single wipe on my nails normally. But when I picked up more polish with the brush, it was impossible to handle the glitters. And then it became so thick, there were millions of tiny bubbles on my nails. I seriously felt like I forgot how to paint nails. So I get pissed off and removed it.
Then a few days later I gave it another try, but first I used a few drops of Seche Restore thinner. It became easier to work with, but there are still some bubbles left, you can see them in the pictures. The larger glitters were really hard to work with, so I just picked them up from the neck of the bottle and placed them onto my nails. Ant this is exactly what I hate to do with glitter polishes. I mean, if I want to play with glitters one by one, I'd buy glitter drops instead.

So I am quite dissapointed in this one, though the idea is good.  My camera didn't like the neon orange and pink glitters, but on my istagram you can see a pic I took with my phone. The glitters look better, but not the quality. :P

F.U.N Lacquer - Illusion

There was a little craziness last Saturday, when the new F.U.N Lacquer 2015 LE Collection released. I got for myself two pieces, Storm in pre-order, and Illusion, which I could pick up already yesterday, so I can show you now.

Illusion has a deep purple base, that is full of hologrhaphic micro glitters, a little bigger orange/red/copper glitters and purple shimmer. It applies easily, but it's a little thicker, than I like. Anyway it's still manageable. Two coats on my nails.

Overall, I like it very much, though it's not exactly summer color for me. But this is true for the entire collection. Well, except Daydreamer, which I couldn't get, 'cause I was too slow. But let's not even talk about it.
Illusion is already sold out at F.U.N Lacquer's website, but in Finland there's still a few bottles left in CesarsShop!

Glam Polish - Below Zero

Below Zero is from the Mid-Winter's Dream collection. I loved to use it during the winter, because of its cool tone, but I think it's also perfect for summer.

Like I said, Below Zero is a cool toned blue glitter polish with loads of holographic glitters, that sparkles 24/7 on the nails. Two thick coats cover the nails, but the removal is  a real torture if you use regular base-coat. Though, it's still worth it! I applied it over Pictre Polish's Glitter Base.
Then I just wanted to try my new nail vinyls from Twinkled T, so I sticked two mermaid tail vinyls on my middle and ring finger and painted over Don't Rain On My Parade from Glam Polish's Broadway collection. This was my first try of using these nail vinyls, so they became a little messy, but I love them anyway. :)

Emily De Molly - Third Edition

Somehow we are not best friends with Emily De Molly. Everytime I check the swatches in webshops, I get excited, then I got my polishes and they just look totally different, than the ones in the pictures. But I keep hoping and buying them, I guess I'm just that sick. :)

So here we have Third Edition for today. I can tell you there is a lot going on in this polish. It has silver base, that is packed with bigger and smaller silver glitters, gold flakies and multichrome little thingies (flakies?). I really don't know how to call them, I'm not even sure sometimes, if they're there. It covers in two coats and dries with a little texture, if it bothers you, I'll recommend to use not just one, but two coats of topcoat, and it'll smoothen out completely.

I left Third Edition on my nails for almost 3 days, to figure out if I like it or not, but I still couldn't decide. Overall there's nothing wrong with this polish it's just... like I said at the beginning, we're not best friends.

F.U.N Lacquer - Edgy (H)

Yesterday arrived my picks from F.U.N Lacquer's Birthday 2015 collection. And of course I had to try them immediately. The collection has 3 multichrome glitter polishes and all has holographic version, too. First comes Edgy (H).

In Edgy (H) the main colors are green and pink, in different angles also some purple and blue is seeable. And all this spiced up with holo sparkling. Gorgerous! I applied it in one coat over black, but as I see in about 3 coats it'll cover the whole nail very well. Gotta try it next time!

In "everything is better with holo" theory I only bought the 3 H versons of this collection. So far... :) Style (H) and Precious (H) is coming soon,  too.

Glam Polish - Welcome To The 60's

Glam Polish's Welcome To The 60's was inspired by every girls favorite movie Hairspray.

WTT60's is a gold and holographic glitter polish in clear base. Plus loaded with small white and pink glitters as extra. In one coat you can use it as a glitter topper, but in only two thicker coats it gives full coverage.

Personally I'm not a fan of white glitter, so I'd prefer this polish without it. But they are not that disturbing, when the holo and gold glitters sparkle, so I'm happy to have it after all.

Glam Polish - Whirlwind

Whirlwind released at the end of last year, part of the Mid-Winter's Dream collection from Glam Polish. So it's finally time to have a closer look at it. :)

It's a lavender glitter polish loaded with holographic glitters, that shine like crazy when the light hits it. The formula is very good, for me it required 2 thicker coats to make it opaque. The giltters apply smooth and even, they don't dry with texture or aren't rough.

Though it came out in a winter collection, I'll definietly wear it during spring/summer, when the sun shines, cause it'll be blinding! :)

Picture Polish - Holiday

For the last day of the year I brought a special one. According to Picture Polish, Holiday is "a scatter holo/flakie 'special edition' topper with individually numbered bottles".

So, as you can see this isn't just an ordinary holo topper, but we've got flakies in different colors, such as red, yellow, blue, green. These colors may shift, depending on what you apply it over. I definietly wanted to try it over a dark shade, so I picked Blackberry from Barry M.

I really like that Holiday isn't just a regular holo topper, but PP added some extra into it. Those flakies really make it special. If you like Picture Polish and you want something unique, go and grab one before it's sold out. But hurry, because as I know there's only 1000 bottles of it! (???)

Morgan Taylor - Deck The Halls

For Christmas day I brought a beautiful sparkly red from Morgan Taylor.

When I saw the picture of Home For The Holidays collection at the back of Nail It! magazine, Deck The Halls caught my attention immetiately. But since MT is not available in Finland I had to order it from Hungary first, and then I had to wait a couple of weeks to get a package from my home country. But it was worth waiting...

Deck The Halls has a bright red base with silver and pink glitters in different sizes. To be honest I'v never liked red and pink combinaton, so I don't understand how can I love this one so much. But I love how it sparkles on my nails. A perfect one for Christmas, if you want something quick but sparkly. The base color is well pigmented and becomes opaque in two coats. The removal was difficult, you need to work to get rid of the bigger glitters. BUT it doesn't leave any red color on the nails, so that's something not to worry about.

I hope you've had a great Christmas so far, enjoy the rest of it!
